On Thursday, February 3, 2011, police responded to a call in the Victoria Park/St. Clair
Avenue East area.

It is alleged that:
− officers found a small safe, opened, and a firearm and ammunition inside the safe.

A 66−year−old man, from Toronto, has been charged with:
1. Possession of a Prohibited Firearm with Ammunition,
2. Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized,
3. Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm,
4. Firearm Careless Storage,
5. Careless Storage Ammunition.

Robbery (Mugging) – 42 Division

Three 14 year old males report that on February 4, 2011 at approximately 1600 hours, they were walking along a pathway located in the area of Hupfield Park and Pennyhill Drive, when two male suspects approached from behind.  One suspect produced a handgun, made a demand for their property and threatened them with harm.  The victims complied.  The suspects obtained a quantity of cash and two cellular phones.  The suspects then fled the scene in a northerly direction through a wooded area.  No injuries were sustained by the victims.  Police are requesting the assistance of the public in identifying the following described persons in connection with this offence.  Description of Suspects #1-#2:Male, black, 17-18 years, 6’0”, medium build.

Robbery (Mugging) – 23 Division

A 21 year old male reports that on February 4, 2011 at approximately 2000 hours, he was walking in the area of Turnvale Road and Lynmont Avenue when a male suspect approached.  The suspect engaged the victim in conversation, produced a handgun and made a demand for cash.  The suspect pointed the weapon towards the victim and searched through his pockets.  The suspect removed a cellular phone and fled the scene eastbound through a nearby school parking lot.  No injuries were sustained by the victim.  Police are requesting the assistance of the public in identifying the following described person in connection with this offence.  Description of Suspect: Male, black, 25-27 years, 5’7”.  NO FURTHER DESCRIPTION AVAILABLE.

Robbery (Home Invasion) – 51 Division

Two females age 22 and 30 years report that on February 4, 2011 at approximately 1740 hours, one victim was standing inside her dwelling located in the No. 51 Division area by the door, when two male suspects, one armed with a handgun, forced their way inside.  One of the suspects struck one of victims on the top of her head, knocked her to the floor and she managed to make good her escape.   The suspects removed a cellular phone and both suspects fled the scene on an elevator in an unknown direction.  One of the suspects sustained minor injuries and will seek her own medical attention.  No injuries were sustained by the second victim.  Police are requesting the assistance of the public in identifying the following described persons in connection with this offence.  Description of Suspect #1: Male, white, 25-30 years, 5’7-5’9”, 160-180 pounds, medium build.   Suspect #2:Male, black, 25-30 years, 5’8”-6’2”, 200 pounds, 225 pounds, heavy build, brown eyes, black hair.

Charge(s): February 4, 2011 – Attempt Murder while using other Firearm, Aggravated Assault, Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm, Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized, Discharge Firearm Endanger Life, Pointing a Firearm, Weapons Dangerous, Carry Concealed Weapon, Use Firearm to Commit Indictable Offence.

Arrested and Investigated by Members of No. 41 Division.

On February 3, 2011, at approximately 2130 hours, a male victim was attempting to get back to his vehicle at the rear of a building on Victoria Park Avenue when a male suspect blocked him from getting in.  The suspect produced and discharged his shotgun striking the victim about the body.  The victim managed to make good his escape and was transported to hospital where he was treated for his injuries.  On February 4, 2011 at about 2250 hours, Members of No. 41 Division Major Crime Unit attended an address in Pickering and located CADA.  At the time of the arrest, CADA was found to be in possession of a firearm. Charged accordingly.  Investigation continuing.

A 19 year old male employee for Petro Canada, 724 Scarlett Road, reports that on February 5, 2011 at approximately 1825 hours, a male suspect wearing a disguise approached the kiosk in a vehicle.  The suspect produced a handgun and made a demand for the till and contents.  The victim complied.  The suspect pointed the weapon towards the victim and instructed him to lie on the floor.  The suspect then fled the scene in the vehicle travelling northbound on Scarlett Road.  No injuries were sustained by the victim.  Police are requesting the assistance of the public in identifying the following described person in connection with this offence.  Description of Suspect: Male, white, 35-45 years, blue eyes.  NO FURTHER DESCRIPTION AVAILABLE.

Robbery (Delivery Person) – 12 Division

A 41 year old male driver for Pizza Pizza, 1351 Lawrence Avenue West reports that on February 5, 2011 at approximately 2100 hours, he was making a delivery in the area of Black Creek Drive and Trethewey Drive.  The victim attempted to locate the intended apartment the food order was for but was unsuccessful and he then observed two suspects wearing disguises standing in the stairwell.  One of the suspects produced a handgun, pointed it towards the victim and he was instructed to put his hands up.  The victim observed an opened door and ran inside.  Both suspects then fled the scene empty-handed in an unknown direction.  No injuries were sustained by the victim.  Police are requesting the assistance of the public in identifying the following described persons in connection with this offence.  Description of Suspect #1: Male, black, 20-25 years, 5’6”, medium build, brown eyes, black hair.  Suspect #2:Male, black, 20-25 years, medium build, brown eyes, black hair.

Robbery (Vehicle Jacking) – 51 Division

A 27 year old female reports that on February 7, 2011 at approximately 0315 hours, she was in a vehicle in the area of Isabella Street and Yonge Street when a male suspect approached and entered the vehicle.  The suspect produced a handgun and demanded money.  The victim complied and the suspect ordered her to drive along Isabella Street to Church Street.  At this location, the suspect ordered the victim at gun point to pull over and get out of the car.  The suspect got into the driver’s seat and drove off to Maitland Street.  The suspect exited the vehicle and fled the scene in an unknown direction.  No injuries were sustained by the victim.  Police are requesting the assistance of the public in identifying the following described person in connection with this offence.  Description of Suspect:  Male, white, 30 to 35 years, 5’6” to 5’8”, thin build, long light brown hair in a ponytail.

A 46 year old male employee of The Main Drug Mart, 2160 Weston Road, reports that on February 7, 2011 at approximately 1825 hours, a male suspect wearing a disguise entered the premises and approached the counter. The suspect produced a handgun and made a demand for cash and prescription drugs. The victim complied and the suspect fled the scene heading in an unknown direction. The victim did not sustain any injuries. Police are requesting the assistance of the public in identifying the following described person in connection with this offence.  Description of Suspect: Male, white, 25 to 40 years, 5’5” to 5’9”, 150 to 200 pounds, medium build, brown eyes.

Man faces 23 charges in assault investigation, Seven firearms seized

On Tuesday, February 1, 2011, police started an assault investigation.

It is alleged that:
− in December 2010, the accused assaulted a woman.

On Wednesday, February 2, 2011, Gary Dawson, 49, of Toronto, was arrested and charged with:
1) Assault.

It is further alleged that:
− on Thursday, February 3, 2011, police located seven firearms and ammunition in his home.

On Thursday, February 3, 2011, Gary Dawson was further charged with:
1) five counts of Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm,
2) seven counts of Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited Device,
3) four counts of Possession of a Prohibited Firearm with Ammunition,
4) six counts of Careless Storage of a Firearm,
5) Careless Use of Ammunition.

He was scheduled to appear in court at College Park on Thursday, February 3, 2011, room 507, at 10 a.m.

A 24 year old male and a 47 year old female, employees of Maple Leaf Sports Bar and Grill, 826 Danforth Avenue, report that on February 9, 2011 at approximately 0133 hours, two male suspects, one wearing a disguise entered the premises. One suspect approached the female victim, produced a handgun, threatened her and made a demand for cash. The victim did not comply. The suspects punched the victims in the face. The suspects then fled the scene, empty-handed, eastbound on Danforth Avenue. One victim sustained minor injuries and was transported to hospital where he was treated and released. No injuries were sustained by the other victim. NO DESCRIPTION OF SUSPECTS AVAILABLE.

Two 15 year old males report that on February 8, 2011 at approximately 1500 hours, they were in the area of Midland Avenue and Eglinton Avenue when they were approached by a male suspect.  The suspect produced a firearm and made a demand for cash and items in the victims’ pockets.  The victims complied handing over a quantity of cash and id.  The suspect then fled the scene in an unknown direction.  No injuries were sustained by the victims.  Police are requesting the assistance of the public in identifying the following described person in connection with this offence.  Description of Suspect:   Male, white, 16-20 years, 6’-6’1”.

The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public’s assistance with an investigation into a shooting on Wednesday, February 9, 2011, at 2:33 a.m.

It is reported that:
− officers responded to a shooting call in front of the Cobra nightclub at 501 King Street West,
− witnesses report a man had been injured, but fled prior to police arriving,
− several shell casings were located in the area.

apartment at 2702 Lawrence Avenue East.

It is alleged that:
− a handgun, body armour, a quantity of ammunition and marijuana were seized.

2. Careless Storage of a Firearm,
3. Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm,

6. Possession of a Firearm Obtained by the Commission an Offence,
7. Weapons Dangerous,
8. Possession for the Purpose Marijuana,
9. Possession of Marijuana (under).

He appeared in court at Old City Hall on Tuesday, February 8, 2011, room 103, 9 a.m.
