Robbery (Business) – 23 Division

A 43 year old, a 37 year old and a 29 year old, male employees of Roger’s Global Wireless Solutions Inc., 22 Dixon Road, reports that on January 4, 2011 at approximately 1850 hours five male suspects entered the premises. Two of the suspects ordered the victims to the ground while a third suspect produced a firearm, demanding personal property from all victims.  Two more male suspects demanded access to the rear of the store, and removed a quantity of new and used cellular phones and products. The suspects then fled the scene eastbound on Dixon Road. No injuries were sustained by the victims. Police are requesting the assistance of the public in identifying the following described persons in connection with this offence.  Description of Suspect #1:  Male, black, 20 – 22 years, 6’0” – 6’1”, 120 – 130 lbs, slim build. Suspect #2:  Male, black, 20 – 22 years, 5’1” – 5’2”, 180 – 200 lbs, heavy build. Suspect #3:  Male, black, 20 – 22 years, 5’7” – 5’8”, 130 – 140 lbs, skinny build. Suspect #4 – #5:  Male, black, 20 – 22 years, 5’7” – 5’8”, skinny build.

Robbery (Delivery Person) – 54 Division

A 43 year old male employee of Wing Machine, 1160 Danforth Avenue, reports that on January 6, 2011 at approximately 0040 hours, he was in the area of Vendome Place and Grenoble Drive when he was approached by six male suspects.  One of the suspects produced a handgun and made a demand for cash and food. The victim complied. The suspects then fled the scene in an unknown direction. The victim did not sustain any injuries. Police are requesting the assistance of the public in identifying the following described persons in connection with this offence.  Description of Suspect #1: Male, black, thin build. Suspect #2 to #6: Male, black, NO FURTHER DESCRIPTION AVAILABLE.

On Wednesday, January 5, 2011, at 2:36 p.m., police responded to a shooting call at 1021
Birchmount Road.

Officers attended and located a 27−year−old man, suffering from obvious gunshot wounds, on the first−floor hallway of the building.

The victim was taken to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

The name of the victim is not being released at this time.

A post−mortem examination is to be scheduled.

Robbery (Mugging) – 42 Division

A 57 year old male reports that on January 6, 2011 at approximately 1843 hours, he was in the area of Morningside Avenue and Old Finch Avenue when he was approached by two male suspects wearing disguises.  One suspect produced a handgun and made a demand for cash.  The victim did not comply.  The suspects fled the scene empty handed in an unknown direction.  No injuries were sustained by the victim.  Police are requesting the assistance of the public in identifying the following described persons in connection with this offence.  Description of Suspect #1: Male, 18-20 years, 5’11”-6’0”, thin build.  Suspect #2: Male, 16-18 years, 5’4”-5’6”, thin build.

A 26 year old female employee of Rogers, 5095 Sheppard Avenue East, reports that on January 7, 2011 at approximately 1220 hours, three male suspects armed with handguns entered the premises and approached the counter.  One of the suspects produced a handgun and made a demand for cellular phones.  The victim complied.  The suspects also made a demand for cash.  The victim refused and the suspects forced the victim into the storage closet.  The suspects then fled the scene northbound on Markham Road.  No injuries were sustained by the victim.  Police are requesting the assistance of the public in identifying the following described persons in connection with this offence.  Description of Suspect #1: Male, black, 20 to 22 years, 5’1” to 5’2”, 110 to 119 pounds.  Suspect #2: Male, black, 20 to 22 years, 5’10” to 5’11”, 169 to 200 pounds.  Suspect #3: Male, black, 20 to 22 years, 5’7” to 5’11”, 169 to 200 pounds.

A 31 year male reports that on January 7, 2011 at approximately 1700 hours, he was in a vehicle in the area of Sheppard Avenue East and Morningside Avenue when he was approached from behind by a male suspect.  The suspect opened the car door, produced a firearm, pointed it at the victim’s head and removed a quantity of prescription drugs from the victim’s pockets. The suspect fled the scene in an unknown direction.  The victim did not sustain any injuries. Police are requesting the assistance of the public in identifying the following described person in connection with this offence.  Description of Suspect:  Male, black, 25 – 30 years, 6’1”, stocky build.

Two employees and a customer of Rogers Wireless, 3111 Dufferin Street report that on January 8, 2011 at approximately 1253 hours, three male suspects wearing disquises and armed with handguns entered the premises through the front door.  One suspect pointed a gun to one victim’s head and advised the three victims not to scream.  One victim managed to exit the premises and call 911.  The suspects fled the scene empty handed in an unknown direction.  No injuries were sustained by the victims.  Police are requesting the assistance of the public in identifying the following described persons in connection with this offence.  Description of Suspect #1:  Male, black 5’9”-5’10”.  Suspect #2:  Male, black.  Person #3:  Male, black, 6’, 161 pounds, thin build.

Abduction – 53 Division

A 25 year old male reports that on January 8, 2011 at approximately 1740 hours, he was in the area of Eglinton Avenue East and Mount Pleasant Road when he was approached from behind by two male suspects. One of the suspects produced a handgun and demanded for the victim to enter a van. The victim complied.  The suspects then drove the victim to the area of Yonge Street and Lord Seaton Road, removed an iPhone from his possession and fled the scene in an unknown direction. The victim did not sustain any injuries.  Police are requesting the assistance of the public in identifying the following described persons in connection with this offence.  Description of Suspect #1: Male, black, 25 years, 5’10”, medium build, short black hair. Suspect #2: Male, black, 25 years, 5’10”, medium build.

A 22 year old female reports that on January 9, 2011 at approximately 0136 hours, she was in the area of Jane Street and Finch Avenue West when she was approached from behind by three male suspects. One of the suspects produced a handgun and removed the victim’s purse containing a quantity of cash and identification. The suspects then fled the scene in an unknown direction. The victim did not sustain any injuries. Police are requesting the assistance of the public in identifying the following described persons in connection with this offence.  Description of Suspects #1 and #2: Male, black, 17 to 20 years, 5’6” to 5’10”, 141 to 169 pounds. Suspect #3: Male, black, 17 to 20 years, 5’7” to 5’10”, 141 to 169 pounds.

Robbery (Swarming) – 23 Division

An 18 year old male reports that on January 9, 2011 at approximately 1345 hours, he was in an apartment building in the area of Kipling Avenue and Steeles Avenue West when he entered an elevator with three male suspects.   One of the suspects engaged him in a conversation while another suspect produced a grey revolver and pointed it at him.  The suspects held the victim against the elevator door, while they searched the victim’s pockets.  The suspects fled the scene with the victim’s Blackberry and his wallet containing identification and a quantity of cash.  No injuries were sustained by the victim.  Police are requesting the assistance of the public in identifying the following described persons in connection with this offence.  Description of Suspect #1: Male, black, 16 to 20 years, 5’10”, to 5’11”, 161 pounds, medium build, short straight black hair.  Suspect #2:  Male, black, 16 to 20 years, 5’10” to 5’11”, 169 to 180 pounds, medium build.  Suspect #3:  Male, black, 14 to 16 years, 5’8” to 5’9”, 150 to 161 pounds, medium build.
