Robbery (Home Invasion) – 52 Division

Two males, ages 42 and 52, report that on November 12, 2010 at approximately 2050 hours, they were in a home on Seaton Street when two male suspects wearing disguises entered the premises by forcing a door.  The suspects produced a crowbar and a black handgun and demanded the victims get on their knees.  A struggle ensued.  The suspects fled the scene empty handed in an unknown direction.  The victims sustained minor injuries but refused medical attention.  Police are requesting the assistance of the public in identifying the following described persons in connection with this offence.  Description of Suspect #1:  Male, black, 25-30 years, 5’8”-6’, 165-174 pounds, thin build.  Suspect #2:  Male, black, 25-30 years, 5’10”-6’, 161-169 pounds, thin build.

Robbery (Mugging) – 32 Division

Two males, ages 21 and 22 report that on November 12, 2010 at approximately 2323 hours, they were in the area of Kenneth Avenue and Byng Avenue when they were approached by two male suspects.  The suspects produced a black handgun and a knife.  The suspects made demands for the victims’ cell phones and wallets.  One suspect struck one victim about the head with the handgun and obtained the victim’s cell phone and cigarettes.  Both suspects then fled the scene in an unknown direction.  One victim sustained injuries and sought his own medical attention.  Police are requesting the assistance of the public in identifying the following described persons in connection with this offence.  Description of Suspect #1:   Male, 22-28 years, 5’7, 200 pounds, heavy build.  Suspect #2:  Male, 16-20 years, 5’8”, 119 pounds, thin build.

Robbery (Financial Institution) – 23 Division

Two female employees of Cash In A Flash, 290 Wilson Avenue, report that on November 14, 2010 at between 1735 hours and 1750 hours, two male suspects entered the premises, wearing disguises and armed with a shotgun.  The suspects pointed the shotgun at the victims and made a demand for cash.  The victim’s complied.  The suspects fled the scene in an unknown direction.  No injuries were sustained by the victims.  Police are requesting the assistance of the public in identifying the following described persons in connection with this offence.  Description of Suspect #1 & #2:  Male, black, 20 to 23 years, 5’7” to 5’10”, thin build.

Robbery (Business) – 14 Division

Two employees of Fido Solutions, 900 Dufferin Street, report that on November 14, 2010 at approximately 1635 hours, they were enroute to the bank with the daily deposit when they were approached by two male suspects.  One of the suspects was armed with a handgun and made a demand for cash.  The victims complied.  The suspects fled the scene in an unknown direction.  No injuries were sustained by the victims.  Police are requesting the assistance of the public in identifying the following described persons in connection with this offence.  Description of Suspect #1: Male, south asian, 20 to 25 years, 5’11” to 6’0”, 150 to 161 pounds, medium build, dark facial complexion, black hair.  Suspect #2:  Male, 20 to 25 years, 5’7” to 6’0”, light complexion, black eyes.

Robbery (Mugging) – 13 Division

A 45 year old female, reports that on November 14, 2010 at approximately 1958 hours, she was in the area of Lansdowne Avenue and Davenport Road when a male suspect approached her from behind.  The suspect grabbed the victim, pushed the barrel of a handgun to her back then grabbed the victim’s headphones.  A struggle ensued and the suspect then fled the scene with only part of the headphone, eastbound on Davenport Road across Lansdowne Avenue.  No injuries were sustained by the victim.  Police are requesting the assistance of the public in identifying the following described person in connection with this offence.  Description of Suspect:  Male, black, 23 to 26 years, 5’7” to 5’9”.

Robbery (Business) – 33 Division

A 38 year old female employee of Reegan’s Variety Store, 1200 York Mills Road, reports that on November 15, 2010 at approximately 1845 hours, a male suspect wearing a disguise and armed with a handgun entered the premises.  The suspect pointed the handgun at the victim and made a demand for cash.  The victim complied.  The suspect then fled the scene in an unknown direction.  No injuries were sustained by the victim.  Police are requesting the assistance of the public in identifying the following described person in connection with this offence.  Description of Suspect:  Male, black, 6’, 180 lbs, thin build.

Two men arrested by paid duty officers in shooting investigation, Firearm recovered

On Tuesday, November 16, 2010, at 11:54 a.m., police responded to a shooting call at the
Jane/Finch mall.

Officers attended and located a 17 year−old−boy with a gunshot wound to the leg.

It is alleged that:
− a 17−year−old boy was in a retail store within the Jane/Finch mall when two men entered,
− the men approached the boy and made a demand for money,
− a brief struggle ensued between the boy and the two men at which time the boy was shot in the leg,
− the two men fled then hailed a taxi,
− two pay duty officers working at Finch Avenue West/Norfinch Drive heard the radio call and intercepted the taxi,
− the two men were arrested and a loaded 9mm handgun was seized,
− the gun has been identified as being stolen.

The victims injuries are considered non−life−threatening.

Tristan Cox, 23, and Francis Koroma, 23, both of Toronto, have each been charged with:
1. Robbery While Armed with a Firearm,
2. Aggravated Assault,
3. Discharge Firearm Endanger Life,
4. Possession of a Restricted Firearm with Ammunition,
5. Possession of a Firearm Obtained by the Commission of an Offence,
6. Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized,
7. Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm.

Tristan Cox is additionally charged with:
1. three counts of Fail to Comply Recognizance.

They are both scheduled to appear in court at 1000 Finch Avenue West on Wednesday, November 17, 2010, at 10 a.m., room 306.

On Wednesday, November 17, 2010, at 4 p.m., police responded to a sound of gunshots call at 135 Neptune Drive.

Responding officers located a 16−year−old boy lying in the west stairwell of 135 Neptune Drive, suffering from an obvious gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The name of the victim is not being released at this time.

Robbery (Business) – 23 Division

A 25 year old male employee of Quality Auto, 40 Airview Road and a 25 year old male reports on November 17, 2010 at approximately 19:00 hours four male suspects, one armed with a handgun, one wearing a disguise forced their way into the premises and made a demand for property. The victims refused. The suspects removed a quantity of cash and an iPhone from one of the victims. This same victim was then tied up, pushed to the floor, punched and kicked numerous times while one of the suspects put a handgun to his head. The second victim was also tied up and punched.  The suspects then fled the scene in an unknown direction. One of the victim sustained minor injuries. No injuries were sustained by the second victim. Police are requesting the assistance of the public in identifying the following described persons in connection with this offence.  Description of Suspect #1: Male, black, 20-25 years, 5’6” to 5’8”, 130 pounds to 141 pounds, medium build. Suspect #2: Male, black, 20-25 years, 5’10” to 5’11”, 150 pounds to 160 pounds, medium build, short black hair. Robbery (Swarming) – 32 Division

An 18 year old male reports that on November 18, 2010 at approximately 1420 hours, he was in the area of Princess Avenue and Doris Avenue when he was approached by three male suspects.  One suspect struck the victim in the back of the head and grabbed his arms. Another suspect punched the victim about the face while a third suspect produced a black handgun.  The suspects removed a cellular phone and fled the scene eastbound on Princess Avenue.  No injuries were sustained by the victim. Police are requesting the assistance of the public in identifying the following described persons in connection with this offence.  Description of Suspect #1:   Male, black, 20 – 23 years, 5’10”, medium build.  Suspect #2:  Male, black, 20 – 25 years, 6’2”, thin build.  Suspect #3:  Male, black.  NO FURTHER DESCRIPTION AVAILABLE.

Robbery (Mugging) – 12 Division

A 14 year old male reports that on November 18, 2010 at approximately 1100 hours he was in the area of Yarrow Road and Eglinton Avenue West when he was approached from behind by a male suspect.  The suspect wrapped his arm around the victim’s neck and pulled him to the ground.  The suspect made a demand for personal property.  The victim declined, and a struggle ensued.  The suspect pulled out a black firearm, pointed it into the victim’s chest and removed the victim’s cellular phone.  The suspect fled the scene westbound on Eglinton Avenue West. No injuries were sustained by the victim. Police are requesting the assistance of the public in identifying the following described person in connection with this offence.  Description of Suspect:   Male, black, 21 – 23 years, 5’11” – 6’1”, 150lbs – 165lbs, medium build.

A 21 year old male reports that on November 18, 2010 at approximately 0001 hours, he was in the area of Christie Street South and DuPont Street when he was approached from behind by three male suspects.   One suspect grabbed hold of the victim, while another produced a handgun.  The suspects removed a wallet, and IPod, a cellular phone and a backpack from the victim and fled the scene in an unknown direction.  No injuries were sustained by the victim.  Police are requesting the assistance of the public in identifying the following described persons in connection with this offence.  Description of Suspect #1:   Male, brown, 25 – 30 years, 5’6” – 5’7”, 180 – 185, medium build.  Suspect #2:  Male, brown, 25 – 29 years, 5’8” – 5’9”, 180lbs – 185lbs, medium build.  Suspect #3:  Male, brown, 25 – 30 years, 5’5” – 5’6”, 180lbs – 185lbs, medium build.
